Stormy Winds

Westerly winds blowing at 46mph (74km/h) blew our fence into the neighbour's backyard. Luckily, both houses belong to the same landlord - so they wouldn't be any quarrels there. I'm not too worried about the back of the house because we don't have any large and looming tree there. Just a barely surviving plum tree that poses no real threat, unless of course it is uprooted. But the other neighbour has a large and tall tree in their backyard and a fairly large tree on the side of the pavement right in front of their house...

God forbid.

I had to push my son's stroller very slowly today when I sent my eldest to school- the wind was blowing so strong.

Hope it will die out soon.

Oh my goodness! kuatnye angin! I remember such strong winds back when I was a student in NZ. I was nearly lifted off my feet walking my way to a lecture! Of cos masa tu I was oh so light compared to now! haha

Teruk juga the damage. Nasib baik tak jatuh on anybody. Be extra careful when walking outside... kalau boleh tak payah keluarlah.

Flowerin: yeah..I bet with all those mountains and valleys, the wind must be pretty strong there too..in another part of London, the wind did literally that to a woman - I saw it on the news - she was wearing high heels - the wind blew so strong that she fell and slid across the pavement like a slippery bar of soap! All the other people near her were holding on to walls and street lamps...

ayu: ada a few people mati including a 2 year old who was standing by a wall that collapsed. But mostly the fatalities are outside London...Mr S pun tak bg keluar jln kaki if the wind is too strong - have to take the car.
